Hi, I’m Becca, and welcome to the very first post on the Warren Farm blog! I thought the best place to start was at the beginning: how a family farm in Formby ended up hosting weddings, and a little bit about me.
I’ve lived on the farm here in Formby my whole life. I grew up here with my mum Sally, my sister Lucy and my brother James, surrounded by fields, horses and animals. It’s always been home, and it’s a place that means the world to our family.
In 2014, Tom and I were planning our wedding. Like most couples, I looked at so many wedding venues, and I just couldn’t quite find what I wanted. I wanted somewhere that felt like us: relaxed, personal, and with room for all our family and friends (and my animals!).
Then I had a slightly crazy idea. What if we got married right here, on the farm?
So that’s exactly what we did. We turned our indoor riding school into my wedding venue. We laid a floor, pulled in a vintage trailer as a stage, and built a hay bale wall. Then we had the best day ever, with 300 guests.
It was easy to organise, I could have exactly what I wanted, and my animal friends could be part of the day too. Our guests loved it, and so did we. You can still see Tom and me under the Warren Farm arch on our wedding day in some of our photos!
Soon after our wedding, Mum and I knew we wanted to share the farm with other couples looking for something different. A space where you have the freedom to design your own day, with a beautiful country backdrop.
Since then I’ve hosted, organised and run over 100 weddings and functions here at Warren Farm. Every single one has been different, and that’s what I love about it.
Today, couples can choose from three spaces:
We host parties and events too, not just weddings. And animals are always welcome. From dogs to llamas, we’ve had them all! Meet some of the family on our furry friends page.
When I’m not running weddings, you’ll usually find me with the horses. I teach dressage and showing at Warren Farm Equestrian, alongside my sister Lucy. I live in Formby with my husband Tom, our daughters Poppy and Myla, and our two dachshunds, Benson and Bert.
Warren Farm holds a special place in my heart. Knowing we can give other couples that same feeling we had on our day is a dream come true for me.
Every week I’ll be sharing ideas and advice to help you plan your day: tipi and marquee guides, dog-friendly wedding tips, planning checklists, styling ideas and more. I hope you find it useful!
I love playing a part in your day and making your ideas come true. Viewings are by appointment, so call or WhatsApp me on 07969 227492 to come and see Warren Farm for yourself. Or download our brochure to see more.
